So today we went to the market got up at 9, had a bowl of corn flakes mad cocoa scoops sounds odd but its actually really good. And a cup of really good coffee, i might have an addiction when i get back lol probably not though. Its cool though how she makes it cause they have this tiny little tea pot/ kettle looking thing thats minuscule, they put the ground coffee beans on the bottom all compact and water on the top like maybe a 1 cup but barely that. That makes pretty much expresso and then she mixes it with the same amount hot water and a little milk. I think after I get things budgeted out, I might get one for Joe or just at least some Italian coffee for him and Charity G. I don't know what to get Pastor Dave though, or you I'll figure it out, im gonna try to be more practical and creative with it though. I wasn't really happy with what we got people last time, I think it was rushed.
We worked for an hour. Today I washed the dishes that were still dirty, but it wasn't very many because I've kept up on them. I actually like washing dishes so I don't mind. They think its funny that I like cleaning, but I really do lol. Then she's got mountains of clean clothes so I folded and hung them all up, cause I guess she hates that job but I like it. It takes so long to wash clothes here, cause you can only do a tiny load, but its a pretty nice washing machine. Then it has to be sunny, and today is the perfect day, not a cloud in the sky its gorgeous. Then wait for them to be dry enough cause you don't want mildew. We have a lot dryer heat at home I think cause it takes a while for it not to have a lingering dampness, but I love that smell of when your clothes have been dried outside. Its very fresh and they don't feel too rough, so I'm not dying without a dryer lol. I don't think I'll actually have to wash my clothes more than once. I feel like I packed pretty well.
So we went to the Market, the boys are in school so it's just Lisanne and me. It's just down the street, we walked and they are rows along the street of booths of clothes, shoes, and then a fruit and veggie section and then some with meats and cheeses. We walked through and browsed. I think next time I'll look more at the shoes cause they have good quality ones for good prices. cute ones too. I ended up getting 2 dresses, a white one and a flowery one and a pair of comfy capri like sweat pant things lol so I think I spent my clothes budget for the month maybe it was $23 Euros. so like less than $30. So the dresses were like $12 dollars each and the pants like $6. But I don't know what my budget is yet lol it'll be nice to know cause I'd like to buy some fruit or something ever once is a while or a snack. Lisanne got me some apricots and peaches, I think their peaches they're nice and hard. I guess they don't like them so they're just for me I really need to find an ATM and get more money out cause right now I'm just borrowing from them.
They have a small market everyday, but once a week every Wednesday it's a big one, which was today. It was cool, I didn't take any pictures cause I brought a smaller bag but also I didn't really want to look like a tourist lol but I'll try to next time.
Here's the mountain of clothes I folded. She's already put away all of their clothes that I hung up, these have to be separated. You know me though, I enjoy it for some reason I'm gonna have to somehow organize my stuff better so it's all more accessible. And if I go somewhere for 3 weeks I'll have to figure out how to pack it. Would be nice to have a duffle bag or a small suitcase. We'll see
How'd you appointment with the new client go? What are you making tonight for youth group? You should look to see if there are any times when you don't have any clients for like a month lol maybe Annie wants to come meet me in England and volunteer at the cafe with me! I should ask her I need to ask about volunteering first, getting ahead of myself maybe! I'm kinda full of ideas but sometimes it takes away from enjoying the present of actually doing it.
